Granting funds - For each application the Financial Assistance Committee will assess the family need and recommend the amount of assistance (if any) to be granted based on one or more of the following criteria:
-
Availability of funds donated to the school and designated for F.A. as well as the overall number of applicants.
-
Financial need based on family income and size, family assets and number of students at CCS.
-
Unusual financial burdens – for instance, death in family, job loss, etc.
-
Current School account status and number of years at CCS
-
Student’s cooperative spirit in academics and attitude
-
Evidence of good financial stewardship
-
Recommendations and/or comments from the family pastor
-
Willingness to contribute time and talents to the school
-
Christian Testimony, faithfulness in church tithing, and commitment to Christian education
The Financial Assistance Committee is sanctioned by the CCS School Board to review applications. The committee will consist of the School Board Treasurer, Bookkeeper and one other board member. They will meet annually to review applications, assess needs, and submit a recommended assistance grant package to the School Board. (updated 4/15/10)
